Mother's Day 2009

Mother Nature decided to celebrate Mother's Day this year with a gorgeous day. The azaleas were blooming, the trees were the greenest of greens and the sky a beautiful blue. After church we (the Maryland family) gathered for a dad prepared barbeque. I got some great hugs and some touching words from Cal and the boys. It was almost like listening to a eulogy. We had a wonderful time, sitting around talking and watching the children have a good time getting together.

Here are the mothers and someday mother-to-be as we gathered at our house after church.

Me with four out of five children. Karen we missed you.

Stephen made a cheesecake. It was delicious and yes, I shared, even if it was my Mother's Day gift.

This is Helen, writing from Detroit - I want to know more about the eulogy. And yes, you were Mother of the Year last year - how quickly we forget!

As usual, Sydney is dressed as a dog in our family picture.
